The Fine Winding Adjustable Balance Cock Holder securely supports a balance cock and balance assembly while you work, helping keep the assembly stable under magnification while installing a hairspring, adjusting the hairspring stud, tightening screws, inspecting the balance, or performing other delicate balance work.
Unlike a fixed holder, the adjustable clamping arm moves in and out using the external control knob, allowing you to position and gently secure balance cocks of different shapes and sizes. The angled support area allows the assembly to be positioned in different orientations depending on what you need to access.
The holder also includes multiple support openings for positioning the balance staff and other protruding components without forcing the assembly to sit flat against the work surface.
