Vintage French-made watchmaker's pivot hole closing punch set with six punches and original fitted wooden storage container.

These specialized punches were designed for closing or reducing worn pivot holes. Each punch incorporates a spring-loaded centering point to help accurately position the tool over the pivot hole before the closing operation.

The set includes six different-sized punches, each marked FRANCE. All six spring-loaded centers function properly.

The punches show normal signs of vintage professional use. The wooden container has age, finish wear and staining consistent with an older working watchmaker's tool.

A useful and increasingly uncommon example of traditional French watchmaking tooling.

This is a very nice example of an early K&D Inverto staking set. It is the newer open front design which allows easy removal of the inverted punch. There are 100 K&D punches and 21 stumps. All of the punches have been polished, cleaned ultrasonically and lightly oiled. There are no duplicate punches in this set. 

   This set has 2 adjustable roller table stumps, 10 various pin punch inserts and a pin punch holder included. 

   The Inverto frame has been cleaned, adjusted and lightly oiled. It has some minor scratches to the nickel plating and some small amounts of loss to the right side mostly. 

   The die plate holes are clear, it is square to the punch tube and the locking mechanism works very well in both directions. The punch retaining feature works, but is very sensitive. 

   The 18 series hardwood box has been stripped, lightly sanded and has an oil based, hand rubbed finish applied. It turned out amazing. 

  I replaced the latch system with a newer 18R type set and polished out the hinges, handle and identification plate. 

   This set will make a very nice workhorse, Inverto set for some aspiring watchmaker or hobbyist.

This is a beautiful 18R Deluxe Staking Set from Kendrick & Davis. The yellow Label is in amazing shape with all locations legible. 

It has a full set of 100 original K&D punches and 20 regular stumps (100/20),101 total punches with the Centering Punch. 

None are duplicates.

All the punches have been through multiple cleaning procedures, polished and oiled. 

The 18R frame is in really nice shape with just minor scratches to the chrome. The die plate holes are clear and the punch tube is square to the die plate.

The punch retaining feature works very well. The die plate locks solidly in either direction of the locking knob. 

There’s an assortment of 10 Pin Punch inserts and holder , both roller table stumps and wrenches, all the sub punches, sub punch holder, 6 jeweling stumps, all 18 reamer bits and a reamer holder.

  There is only 1 canon pinion 323 punch, it will work with both the 323 and 323B stumps. 

  The box has been stripped down, finely sanded, stained in a walnut color and an oil based, hand rubbed finish was applied. 

This set would make an amazing staking set for any watchmaker or aspiring hobbyist. 

   This is an amazing set, it should last you a lifetime if taken care of. It could be passed on to future generations.
